And it shall be called Americus

At 4:30 am on July 4th, , my husband awoke to sharp back pain and we all ended up in the ER shortly thereafter. Leaving the ER at approximately 7:00 am, we then knew that the next couple of days were going to be very tough for my Danno...he had a kidney stone. Feeling from good to worse and then back again most of the next 2 days, we experienced fireworks of a different kind at our home. I spent most of Friday and Saturday keeping the kids out of the house so daddy could rest. Playing at our neighborhood pool or on the the slip n slide, I have some great pics of water fun, but am still playing catch up from the weekend. Jackson, concerned and nervous at one point, came into our bedroom and laid next to daddy telling him that if he prayed to God, he would make him feel better. He then preceded to tell everyone in our driveway Friday evening that his daddy had a rock on his back and wasn't feeling well. (so sweet) Danno gave birth to Americus Saturday evening and is still experiencing some discomfort. Thank god for Lortab! After an appointment to see the doctor Monday, we now know that Americus was quite an addition. The doc's exact words were, "Wow, I can't believe you actually passed that." Ouch!!!
We are so glad that our sweet Daddy is feeling better than he was and maybe next weekend we'll have more fun together.

Oh, OUCH!!! I've heard that a kidney stone is the only kind of pain that is comparable to childbirth...now you know what Serena went through!

Hope Dan's all better now!
